The Kawa fills a gap that most furniture makers ignore: the space between a sofa and a chair. At 1650mm, it seats two people with room to spare — intimate enough for conversation, generous enough that no one feels crowded.
The oak platform is the structure. Deep Kvadrat wool cushions rest on top — removable, replaceable, changeable with the seasons. Nothing is hidden. The ENWA Edge runs along the entire base, giving the Kawa the same impossible lightness as the rest of the collection: heavy enough to feel permanent, thin enough to look like it floats.

Solid oak platform, hand-finished — something to sink into and something to look at. The back and arms wrap around you in one continuous curve, computed to the same ENWA Edge profile as every piece in the collection.

Natural Oak
Thin-coat urethane applied in multiple passes — each sanded between coats — until the surface protects without concealing. Semi-gloss. You can feel the grain. Deepens to honey over years. Zero maintenance.
Charcoal
Deep enough to read as charcoal from across the room. Thin enough to keep every grain ridge tactile. Multiple ultra-thin pigmented layers, each hand-sanded before the next. In raking light, the oak reveals itself through the black.

The Kawa Bench at 400mm height pairs beautifully with the Sora Sofa and most lounge settings. It works as a daybed, bench, or additional seating.

Standard upholstery is Kvadrat, included in the base price. For a premium upgrade, Dedar fabrics are available including velvet and bouclé. The cushion cover is removable for professional cleaning.
