Originating in 18th century Japan, Yakisugi is a particularly striking method of preserving wood by charring it with fire. Traditionally, this practice is used with Japanese cedar to weatherproof it. The wood is burned until the surface is charred and then coated with natural oil.
18世紀の日本で生まれた焼き杉は、木を火で焦がして保存するという、特に印象的な方法です。伝統的には、スギの耐候性を高めるために用いられる。木材は表面が炭化するまで焼かれ、その後天然オイルでコーティングされます。
The result is a scorched finish with a magnificent charcoal-black color. In this villa, we have the wood charred on both sides and later brush it away. This allows the wood grain to be emphasized as the facade's texture.
その結果、見事なチャコールブラックカラーの焦げた仕上がりになります。この別荘では、両側の木を炭化させてから払います。これにより、木目がファサードの質感として強調されます。
Construction details are carefully studied to avoid metal structures being exposed to the front. It creates the illusion that the Yakisugi facade is very light and floats even though it is a six-story high residence building.
構造の詳細は、金属構造が前面に露出しないように慎重に検討されています。6階建ての高層住宅なのに、焼き杉のファサードがとても軽くて浮いているような錯覚を起こします。

A total of 280 square meters for each residence floor is a vast space by Tokyo's living standards. Urban Park Villa is highly packed with functions and programs. With two master standard-size rooms with private living and dining kitchen space on each floor, the top level has a family-shared living lounge with a luxury view of Shinjuku city. The underground floor contains a private interior pool lounge where large events can be held.
各階合計280平方メートルは、東京の生活水準からすると広大な空間です。アーバンパークヴィラは機能やプログラムが非常に充実しています。各階にプライベートリビングとダイニングキッチンを備えた2つのマスタースタンダードルームがあり、最上階には新宿の贅沢な景色を望む家族共有のリビングラウンジがあります。地下フロアには、大規模なイベントが開催できる屋内プールラウンジがあります。
The house was designed in such a way that the top floor mainly uses bright material, and as it moves down to the lower residential base, the material changes towards a warmer tone of wood color. As one reaches the underground level, the material pallet again changes into dark stone to create a sense of boldness and firmness.
この家は、最上階には主に明るい素材を使用し、下の住戸に行くにつれて、素材が暖かみのある木の色に変化するように設計されています。地下に達すると、素材パレットは再びダークストーンに変化し、大胆さと堅さを感じさせます。

Having the building located in the middle of higher ground with an installation behind the site, the construction period of this building was extraordinary. For three stories underground and five stories above the ground, it required 2.5 years to complete this building.
建物が高台の中腹にあり、敷地の背後に設置されていたため、この建物の工期は尋常ではなかった。地下3階、地上5階建てで、完成までに2.5年を要した。
